Bark After Dark is a multi-service dog walking company started in 2008 by Matthew Nicolau, Sarah Charmoli and Carly Anthony. We work all over Los Angeles including, Hollywood, Los Feliz, Beverly Hills, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, and all areas in between. Our specialty is twenty-four hour service and last minute requests. Customer service is our main focus and we work closely with each client to design the service package that is right for them. We don’t charge cancellation fees and we’re always flexible. We consider ourselves the best dog walking firm in town and a main stay for any busy, Los Angeles dog owner.
How it All Began
The idea for Bark After Dark came to me when I got my German Shepherd puppy, Blue. He couldn't be left home alone all night while I was bartending. I brought him to work when I could but, that didn't go over too well with my boss who's office turned into a puppy nursery (Furniture chewed, carpet soiled, etc.) ... so... you guessed it, I guilted my best friend, Sarah, into baby sitting him. But, her schedule was just as busy as mine.
I looked for dog walkers or sitters but, they were always too expensive or not available late-night. I couldn't stand the thought of my new puppy home alone for 12 hours at a stretch or worse, left with some stranger every night while I worked.
We created Bark After Dark to give people and their pooches the late night peace of mind that comes with being taken care of. We know that your dog is like your child. We care because we've been there too and we like to help.
